This IDC Perspective discusses key takeaways from NRF that consider the end-to-end supply chain as a core driver of the omni-channel customer experience and how retailers should be thinking about developing and transforming this foundational asset of their business. Omni-channel was the dominant theme at this year's NRF Big Show. Consumer expectations have skyrocketed when it comes to options related to the where and when of product fulfillment, and retailers have pivoted quickly to respond to those demands. While the focal point of retail remains trained on the consumer, the strategies to serve that consumer have expanded to incorporate the supply chain as a greater contributor and key driver of competitive advantage when it comes to achieving the goal of pleasing the consumer."Regardless of where you begin, have the end goal in mind of tying together inventory and orders across the end-to-end supply chain," says Jordan K.
