This IDC Market Forecast provides market size projections for the Japan security software market, the Japan security appliances market, and the Japan security services market from 2023 to 2027. After the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been wreaking havoc since early 2020, the disease has been downgraded to Category 5 in May 2023, the Japan economy is expected to recover; and IDC believes that security investment by small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with inadequate security measures should be a priority to limit the damage caused by cyberattacks on Japan companies."As security risks increase for all businesses and organizations, IT suppliers need to evaluate their current measures, promote customized measures that align with budgets and security policies, and provide solutions throughout the life cycle including operations, to earn trust," says Kenichi Akama, research manager, Infrastructure and Devices, IDC Japan.
